About this Story

There was a period in Jackson’s life—starting around 18 months—when his two favorite words seemed to be “More!” and “Again!”  Everything was so new and exciting—songs, games, rides, books—that he just couldn’t get enough.  It was exhilarating—and exhausting. And, yet, kids that age are so sweet, so full of wonder and delight, that even after a long day, I’d find myself sneaking back into his room for one more kiss.

Brooke Boynton Hughes’s illustrations perfectly capture the energy and exuberance of a toddler, the weariness of his family, and the love that keeps parents going back for one last bedtime kiss. And she includes lots of treats for kids to pore over—I particularly love the spread with the house cutaway.
